The biggest announcement for this year was that Penn and Teller will be returning to where their careers began at Ren Fest to perform this summer.

Minnesota Renaissance Festival Announces 2025 Themed Weekends
Each weekend at Ren Fest has a theme. You don't have to participate in the theme if you don't want to but the theme inspires different acts, displays, and characters for the actors.
Here's what they've got on deck for this year:
Once Upon A Time - August 16-17
The first weekend of Ren Fest will take you into a fairytale with “princesses, fairies, knights, mermaids, and more.”
Highland Fling - August 23-24
Highland Fling will feature something called the “7 series heavy games”. Guests are encouraged to sport their kilts this weekend.
Woofstock - August 30-September 1
Just as you'd expect, Woofstock is all about the dogs! There will be contests, races, and plenty of treats.
Bold North Adventure - September 6-7
This weekend is all about Vikings and warriors. Bring your best shield and get ready to experience "legends and lore."
Experience Love for the Arts - September 13-14
See all that the arts have to offer at the Experience Love for the Arts weekend. There will be all sorts of types of art to appreciate, "classic paintings, expressive movements to vocal arrangements".
Wine, Chocolate & Romance - September 20-21
If you're looking for something a little romantic for you and your partner to do, this weekend is for you! As they say on the event's website: "Experience Wine Aplenty!"
Festival Friday - September 26
Festival Friday is all about "the 16th century magical kingdom". There will be lots of music, food, and fun!
Oktoberfest - September 27-28
Ren Fest ends with their Oktoberfest celebration. We all know what this entails: plenty of beer, fun, and Hammerschlagen.
