And with those warm summer days comes the Great Minnesota Get-Together!

Yes, I'm already talking about the Minnesota State Fair. But they just made a couple of big announcements over the past couple of days, so let's get caught up.

Minnesota State Fair Announces Return of Kickoff to Summer

The other big announcement, which just came out today, is that the State Fair's Kickoff to Summer Event is back again this year.

It's like a mini state fair with a few fewer vendors, but also fewer people and less heat.

The dates for the Kickoff to Summer Event are May 21st through the 24th. There will be nearly 50 food and beverage vendors, plus live music and entertainment. Best of all: It's free to get in!

I've never been to the Kickoff to Summer event, but it does look fun. And if you're someone who can't stand the crowds of the State Fair, this is perfect for you.

Specific vendors and live music have yet to be announced.
