I would definitely say I'm proud to be a Minnesotan. I love our state! I enjoy going on hikes in our amazing state parks and I like feeling like a bad a** for being able to survive Minnesota winters.

But we Minnesotans also seem to baffle some people. There are things we say and do that out-of-towners can be very confused by. There are plenty of stereotypes about us but there are also things that people from other states learn about Minnesota and they get very confused.

For example, a friend of mine told me a story just yesterday about having to explain that yes, sometimes people will go out and whip donuts in snowy parking lots just for fun.
