DUNEDIN, Fla. (AP) — Gavin Floyd pitched three strong innings and prospect Darrell Ceciliani hit a long grand slam, leading the Toronto Blue Jays past a Minnesota Twins split squad 9-3 on Tuesday.

Floyd, in the mix for the fifth spot in Toronto's rotation, allowed one hit, a solo shot by Korean slugger Byung Ho Park in the second. He also struck out two.

Ceciliani connected in the first off Tyler Duffey after the Minnesota starter allowed singles to Troy Tulowitzki, AL MVP Josh Donaldson and Justin Smoak to load the bases.

David Adams homered and Smoak added an RBI double for the Blue Jays in the fifth.

Minnesota's Miguel Sano hit a two-run homer in the seventh.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Michael Wacha gave up one run over two innings in his first start of the exhibition season as the St. Louis Cardinals beat a Minnesota Twins' split squad 5-3 Tuesday.

A right-hander who led the Cardinals with 17 wins last season, Wacha allowed singles to Brian Dozier and Eduardo Escobar starting the first. Joe Mauer followed with a run-scoring, double-play grounder. Wacha gave up two hits in all.

Ricky Nolasco, competing for a spot in the Twins rotation, gave up three hits in three scoreless innings, struck out four and hit a batter,

Anthony Garcia hit the Cardinals' first home run of spring training, a two-run drive in the sixth against Logan Darnell.

Aledmys Diaz had four hits and two RBIs for the Cardinals.
