Minnesota University Offering First Ever Cannabis Classes this Fall

Marijuana just became legal for recreational use in Minnesota at the beginning of August, becoming the 23rd state to do so. The cannabis industry is rapidly growing across the country and there's a Minnesota university that wants to make sure you're a part of it with classes this fall.

The classes will be put on through a company called Green Flower. They have partnered with over 20 institutions to provide classes that lead to a certification at the end.

Cannabis Classes at St. Cloud State University

St. Cloud State University's Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) is partnering with Green Flower to bring cannabis classes to Minnesota this fall. SCSU is the first Minnesota college or university to do this, according to St. Cloud State Today.

Anyone that's 18 and old is able to take these courses and they're entirely online. So if you're thinking about a career in the cannabis field, this is an easy way to help make that happen.

They'll be offering 4 different certificate programs that take about 6 months each to complete. The 4 programs offered are Cannabis Agriculture and Horticulture, Cannabis Compliance and Risk Management, Business of Cannabis and Cannabis Healthcare and Medicine.

Of course, the classes aren't free. It's $2,950 per certificate program. There are monthly payment plans available as well. If you're interested in getting a certificate in the cannabis industry, the first round of programs begins on September 11th.

Once cannabis businesses are allowed to start opening around Minnesota it'll be really interesting to watch how the industry will grow and develop here. Especially with these certifications already being offered.
