Minnesota Woman Killed in Crash With Truck on Slippery Highway
Livonia Twp, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol says a pickup truck went through a median on a divided four-lane highway and caused a deadly head-on crash this morning on the far northern edge of the Twin Cities metro area.
The fatal collision was reported around 7:20 AM on Highway 169 in Sherburne County just north of Elk River.
The State Patrol is reporting the driver of the pickup that slid out of control through the median was killed in the collision. She was identified as 41-year-old Kimberly Woods of Milaca.
The other driver was behind the wheel of a box truck and was not injured. He was identified as 47-year-old Chad Toenyan of Big Lake.
The State Patrol report on the crash indicated there was snow and ice on the roadway at the time.
