Minnesota Teen Fighting for Her Life After Crash at Twin Cities Intersection (Video)
Minnetonka, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota teenager is fighting for her life following a crash at a Twin Cities intersection.
It happened on Tuesday. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before 2:30 p.m.
The two-vehicle collision happened at the intersection Hwy. 7 and Williston Rd. in Minnetonka. Video from a traffic camera shows a westbound SUV was making a left turn onto southbound Williston Rd. when it was hit by an eastbound SUV, according to the state crash report.
17-year-old Lauren Elaine Olson of Minnetonka was identified as the driver of the westbound SUV. She was taken to a hospital with what are being described as life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the eastbound SUV, 29-year-old Mohamed Aydarus Salad, was also taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were buckled and its unknown if Salad was under the influence of alcohol, the report says.
