BENSON, Minn. (AP) — Authorities in western Minnesota say they have found the body of a fisherman who went missing over the weekend.

The Swift County Sheriff's Office says authorities recovered the body of 60-year-old Ricky Longnecker of Appleton, Minnesota. A caller reported finding Longnecker's abandoned boat on the shores of Lake Oliver Sunday night.

The sheriff's office says Longnecker's body was recovered just after noon on Tuesday near the south side of the lake.

Longnecker's fishing gear was still in the boat and the motor was in gear. Several local and state agencies have been looking for him.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office is helping investigate.
