Missing Minnesota Child & Mother Found Safe (Update)
Update: They were found safe and the alert was canceled Thursday evening.
Previous version: Hinckley, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Minnesota BCA has issued a statewide alert for a missing child and his mother.
Family members of the mother and son say they have not heard from them since Tuesday. The state agency issued the alert on Thursday afternoon.
The missing person bulletin says three-year-old Jace Lafave and his mother, 32-year-old Breanna Larsen were last seen leaving a family residence in Hinckley in a vehicle on Tuesday.
Authorities say the child’s father, 34-year-old Rande Benson, is believed to be traveling with the Hinckley residents.
Investigators believe Larsen is in the Twin Cities area. The bulletin says she’s possibly driving a red 2009 Chevrolet Impala with a Minnesota license plate reading 162-UDP or PCG-391.
Officials are asking anyone who may have information regarding the whereabouts of Larsen or the toddler to contact the Mille Lacs County Tribal Police Department at 320-532-3430.
