Update: Truck Found, Search Continues for Man Missing in Southeast Minnesota

Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- Search efforts are continuing for a missing southeast Minnesota man who is now the subject of a statewide alert.

57-year-old Brad Nagel last had contact with his family around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. The BCA issued a statewide missing person alert for him Saturday evening and says he could be anywhere in Minnesota and beyond. 

Over 150 volunteers fanned out to search for Nagel on Saturday. He was believed to be in the Diamond Bluff/Hager City area, which is across the Mississippi River from Red Wing.

The search effort involved two planes and the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office’s Water Patrol. Volunteers searched rural roads and ditches for signs of Nagel’s vehicle, which is described as a 2005 Black Chevy Colorado with a Minnesota license plate that reads DLB 549.

In a video posted to the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Goodhue County Sheriff Marty Kelly says the priority is to locate Nagel’s pick-up truck. Volunteers are being asked to stick to roads and avoid entering wooded areas or trails. 

The search effort is being described as active and ongoing. The alert describes Nagel as white, 5’ 06”, 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. A clothing description is not available. 

Anyone who may have seen Nagel since Wednesday or has knowledge regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact their local law enforcement or the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office at 651-385-3155.
