MN Man Gets Drunk, Leaves Toddler in Car
MONTEVIDEO, Minn. (AP) — A Montevideo man is accused of leaving his sleeping 2-year-old son in an idling vehicle while he got drunk at a bar.
The Star Tribune reports 27-year-old Christopher Jasperson was charged last week with gross-misdemeanor child endangerment.
According to a criminal complaint, police responded to a report of a child sleeping in a car outside Inn Like Flinn on February 14th. Officers located Jasperson in the Montevideo bar after discovering the boy asleep in his car seat.
A bartender told police Jasperson drank three 22-ounce beers in about an hour. Jasperson allegedly confessed to drinking a six-pack of beer before driving as well.
Police say his blood alcohol content was nearly three times the limit for driving in Minnesota.
