The State Patrol responded to the motorcycle crash shortly after 5:15 Sunday afternoon. He was the only person involved in the crash on a curvy stretch of highway.

78-Year-Old Medford Man Taken to Hospital After Hwy. 60 Motorcycle Crash in Wabasha County

The crash happened about 10 miles west of Wabasha on Hwy. 60. 

The motorcyclist was traveling west when he drove the motorcycle off the two-lane highway and struck the guardrail, the state crash report says. 

78-year-old Larry Dean Churchill of Medford was identified as the motorcycle operator. The State Patrol indicates he was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Churchill was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the state crash report

The Wabasha Police Department, Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasha Fire Department and Wabasha Ambulance also responded to the motorcycle crash.
