
Alcohol-Involved Fillmore County Motorcycle Crash Leads to Severe Injuries for Spring Valley Man

Spring Valley, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeastern Minnesota motorcyclist is fighting for his life following a crash with a car.

The drivers were the only people involved in the crash. The State Patrol responded to the crash shortly before midnight Thursday.
Authorities suspect the motorcycle operator of having alcohol in his system at the time of the Fillmore County crash.

Alcohol-Involved Crash in Spring Valley Leads to Life-Threatening Injuries for Motorcyclist
The car-motorcycle crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 63 and North Park Dr. in Spring Valley.
Both the car and motorcycle were traveling south on Hwy. 63. The motorcycle did not have any lights on and one vehicle rear-ended the other, the state crash report says.
The State Patrol says the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. The crash report does not say if the car or motorcycle was rear-ended.
27-year-old Taylor Anthony Roe of Spring Valley was identified as the motorcycle operator. He was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.
Authorities identified the car driver as 26-year-old Alexander William Kimelman of Rochester. He escaped the crash without injuries.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Valley Ambulance and Spring Valley Fire Department also responded to the crash.
Update: The State Patrol has updated its crash report to say there was no alcohol in Kimelman's system
