Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing into Tree Along Minnesota Road
Oak Grove, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist lost his life after crashing into a tree in the northern outskirts of the Twin Cities Metro Monday afternoon.
A news release issued by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says it happened in Oak Grove, which is about 35 miles north of Minneapolis. The fatality was reported around 3:15 p.m.
The crash investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling north on St. Francis Blvd. Northwest when it veered off the road and struck a tree. First responders administered life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist, described as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal crash victim’s name has not been released. It’s unknown as of Tuesday morning if he was wearing a helmet or if alcohol was involved.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the deadly crash.
