Arden Hills, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota motorcyclist was severely injured in a crash involving two vehicles Wednesday morning.

The State Patrol responded to the crash on I-35 W in the Twin Cities. It happened near the interchange with County Rd. 96 in Arden Hills shortly before 8 a.m. 

The state crash report says the motorcycle was heading south in the HOV lane when two vehicles from the adjacent left lane entered the HOV lane due to a traffic back up.

The report indicates the operator could not slow in time and collided with the rear of one of the vehicles and sideswiped another. The operator, identified as 66-year-old James Alan Schally of Lino Lakes was taken from the crash scene to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He was not wearing a helmet, the report says. The two vehicle drivers involved in th crash have been identified as 41-year-old Daolee Hang of Brooklyn Park and 47-year-old Catherine Monaco Bonaventura of Andover. They were not hurt.
