One person was injured when a vehicle struck a Mower County Sheriff’s squad car Thursday morning.

The state patrol says the car was unoccupied, with its emergency lights flashing and parked in the left shoulder of I-90 when the incident occurred.  The car was partially in the left hand lane when it was struck by a pickup pulling a home-made trailer.  The trailer became unattached and struck another vehicle. One of the drivers, 73-year-old John Root of Lewiston, suffered non-life threatening injuries.  Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which happened shortly after 8:00 AM.
