Multiple Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash Near Rochester
Postdam, MN (KROC-AM News)- Three Minnesotans were hurt following a three-vehicle crash near Rochester Wednesday morning.
The State Patrol responded to the crash along Hwy. 247 about a mile east of Hwy. 63 in Farmington Township. The crash was reported shortly before 7 a.m.
The state crash report indicates a Mazda 3 was heading east when it collided with a westbound Chevy pickup and a westbound Ford Focus. The Mazda driver, identified as 35-year-old Adam Dornik of Pine Island, and a passenger in the vehicle he was driving, identified as 35-year-old Sarina Dornik of Pine Island, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford, identified as 27-year-old Emily Scripture of Elgin, also suffered what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries. The state crash says the three people injured were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for further care.
The pick-up driver, identified as 33-year-old Nicholas Quimby of Millville, was not hurt. Snow and ice were present on the road at the time of the collision, the crash report says.
The State Patrol says all four of the people involved in the crash were buckled up. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Elgin Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the collision.
