St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Fair set a new attendance record on Labor Day, but the overall attendance total for the 2015 Great Minnesota Get Together ended up a little shy of last year’s record of 1.824 million visitors.

State Fair officials say just under 179,000 people went through the turnstiles on Monday, which boosted the overall tally for the 10 day run of the fair to just under 1.8 million. That’s about 45,000, or 2.5-percent below the 2014 total.
