New Dispensary in Rochester has Quietly Opened

I learned over the weekend that a new dispensary has quietly opened in Rochester, MN without making much of a fuss about it.

There's a business in town called Hempire that has been around since 2021. They sold CBD product, edible THC products like gummies and beverages when that became legalized, and now one of their locations is officially a marijuana dispensary.

One of Hempire's locations is next to Forager Brewery, inside the same building as Northgate Chiropractic Clinic. Their other location, that's also their main location, near the corner of Valleyhigh Rd. NW and Superior Dr. NW, is the one that is now an official dispensary.

They launched their dispensary status about a week and a half to two weeks ago, since they now have a license from the state of Minnesota. This means they are selling things like marijuana flower, pre-rolls, and other products.

Hempire isn't the first dispensary in town, though. Green Goods, over by Purple Goat off of North Broadway, was a medical cannabis store, but now is selling recreational cannabis, too.

Plus, we've got yet another dispensary that's working on opening in Rochester.

In February, I wrote about a place called MN Loon Dispensary that's going to open in the former Daube's Bakery location across from Barlow Plaza. I'm not sure when they'll be opening, but the latest development is that there's a fancy new sign up.
