Due to 20 people being injured, which included broken bones, a new recall has been issued by United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

New Recall Announced For Item Sold at Costco, Walmart, Target, Sam's Club And Other Stores in the United States, Including in Minnesota

Consumers are asked to immediately stop using an item that now has 68 incident reports of failure.  Sadly, 20 of those reports have led to injuries that have included lacerations, bruises, abrasions, and broken bones.

The item being recalled is a folding scooter called the Segway Max G30P KickScooter.  Unfortunately, the handlebars or stem have folded while people are using the scooter and is a fall hazard.

Item Name: Segway Ninebot Max G30P and Max G30LP KickScooters

Item Description: 

  • Max G30LP KickScooter - gray with yellow accents.  It is 44 inches long, 19 inches wide, 45 inches high and weighs 39 pounds.

  • Max G30P - black with yellow accents.  The name "ninebot" is placed on the foot platform and on the top of the handlebars.  It is 46 inches long, 19 inches wide, 47 inches high and weighs 42 pounds.
