New Rochesterfest Executive Director Named
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochesterfest has a new Executive Director.
Longtime Rochester resident Brandon Helgeson has been selected to succeed Brent Ackerman, who recently left the Rochesterfest organization to take a position at Rochester Civic Theater. A news release says Helgeson has over 30 years of experience in the events and entertainment industry.
“I am excited to be taking on the Executive Director position for Rochesterfest. I plan to pick up where my dedicated predecessor Brent Ackerman left off.” said Helgeson. “I look forward to applying my 30 years of experience to working on this celebration of our city as it continues to grow and evolve.”
Helgeson is the owner of Big Bang companies and has created, marketed, and managed a wide variety of events, including music festivals. He is also a member of the Olmsted County Fair Board and has assisted in booking entertainment, marketing, operations, and managing volunteers for the annual county fair.
Rochesterfest is scheduled to take place next year from June 20th through June 28th.
