Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester leaders will be welcoming the arrival of a new sculpture that will be placed at Peace Plaza Wednesday afternoon.

According to a news release from the City of Rochester, city leaders will welcome the arrival of A Not So Private Sky sculpture to Peace Plaza for the Heart of the City Project. The delivery and placement of the 26-foot sculpture is scheduled to happen throughout the day.

A viewing event for the community is planned from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a press conference at 3:15 p.m.

The press conference will include comments and interviews with Mayor Kim Norton, Destination Medical Center Executive Director Patrick Seeb, Rochester Downtown Alliance Executive Director Holly Masek and Inigo Manglano-Ovalle artist of A Not So Private Sky. The sculpture will be placed on the west side of the Peace Plaza near Laskers Jewelers.
