28-Year-Old Man Killed, Four Injured in Shooting Outside of Minneapolis Business Sunday Night

Minneapolis, MN (MinnesotaNow)-There has been another shooting involving multiple victims in Minneapolis.

A news release issued Monday morning by the Minneapolis Police Department says five people were shot outside of a business Sunday night. 

One of the victims lost his life. A total of 13 people were wounded in two shootings on Sunday.

28-Year-Old Dies in Shooting That Injured Four Others Near Downtown Minneapolis

Officers responded to the report of gunfire with multiple people injured around 8:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of Nicollet Ave. Responding officers found four men suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived. 

Two of the victims, described as 24-year-old and 28-years-old, had apparent life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. The 28-year-old later died from his wounds, police say. 

The two survivors are described as 36 years old and 43 years old. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the 36-year-old was transported to a hospital, police say. 

A fifth victim, described as a 26-year-old man, later went to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

The names of the victims have not been released. 

No Arrests in Either Shooting Announced

Police say Sunday night’s shooting and Sunday morning’s shooting, that left nine people injured, are not suspected to be related at this time.
