Some of my favorite people in the world have seen me at my worst.  13 years ago, I could hardly walk and found out my si joints were extremely inflamed after my last pregnancy.  The hip pain was so extreme I couldn't even walk up the stairs in our 2-story house.  That's when I met a guy who literally taught me how to get stronger and how to walk again without pain.

Just a few months ago, I was dealing with some horrible dizziness and extreme nausea. Turns out, I was struggling with vertigo and it absolutely sucked!  While I was getting treatment for my vertigo at OMC's Rehabilitation Services at 102 Elton Hills Drive NW in Rochester, Minnesota, I noticed quite a bit of work happening in the spaces nearby and a few signs up that said "excuse our mess".  Now I know what that mess was all about.

Olmsted Medical Center's Rehabilitation Services at 102 Elton Hills Drive NW just announced that they are moving their department to a larger space.  Patients like me, who are already familiar with the facility, won't have to go far because it is right next door to their existing location.

I know when I first heard that I needed PT, I had no idea what to expect and as with anything, there was a little fear of the unknown.  If you've never had a PT appointment or you just want to check out the new space, you are invited to the open house on Monday, March 27th from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm to tour the expanded space.  You'll be able to view the new rooms where therapy is provided, a large and small gym, as well as single-stall restrooms.

OMC’s Rehabilitation Services department is moving to a larger space. The new location is next door to the current location. To showcase the new space, OMC will be having an open house and guided tours for patients, the business community, and the public.

I've been a regular in quite a few departments at Olmsted Medical Center lately for myself and my kids - radiology, podiatry, surgery, rehabilitation services, pathology, sports medicine, FastCare and others I am sure I'm missing - and the entire team has been amazing, especially when I almost passed out at my appointment in podiatry.  Apparently, I don't like to see stitches and dried blood.

As you can tell, I've met quite a few of the staff at OMC and I remember most of you very well. A few of you though, I know we never really met and I don't remember you because I was unconscious for surgery.  (So sorry for anything I said while I was coming out of anesthesia!). Regardless if you saw me awake or not, thank you for all that you do.  As I told my podiatrist, the medical world is not my world and I appreciate your expertise.  I just hope that I don't need to see you again for quite some time. 😉
