One Dead After Semi-Truck Crash In Central Minnesota

Mcleod County, MN (KROC-AM News) - One person is dead after a semi-truck and trailer wreck on Highway 212 in Mcleod County early yesterday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a Hyundai Sonata, driven by 67-year-old Candice Pederson of Waconia, was traveling south on Mcleod County Road 9 and entered the intersection of Highway 212. When the Hyundai entered the intersection it was struck by the semi, driven by 59-year-old William Brooks of Stewart, Minnesota, that was traveling westbound on the highway around 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Pederson died at the scene of the crash, while Brooks was not injured.
