OnStar Helps Locate Vehicle Stolen In Rochester Area Burglary

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A rural Rochester homeowner called 911 Monday to report his house had been broken into - and his 2019 SUV was missing.

The 77-year-old man lives in the 3800 block of Oak Park Circle SE, near the Highway 52/Marion Rd intersection.

He said the key to the vehicle was inside his house. He also said he has the OnStar service for the stolen vehicle and it was located a short while later at a Rochester motel.

It was learned the car thief had apparently rented a room at the motel. A purse that was taken from the house was found in the room and it was determined $300 in cash was missing.
