Oronoco MN (KROC AM News) - A Pine Island woman who has been a suspect in some recent burglaries in the Oronoco area was caught in the act Saturday.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office says the owners of a home in Oronoco returned around 11:00 AM and found the woman coming out of a bathroom. They tried to hold her until they could call 911 but the woman told them “You can’t keep me here. This is an assault. “ She pushed them out of the way, got into her car and drove off.

The homeowners were able to get the license plate number and the vehicle was traced to the home of 23-year-old Barbara Larson. She was there when officers arrived and arrested her.

The homeowners reported Larson had taken some prescription drugs, jewelry and collector coins. It’s not known if the stolen property was recovered. It’s believed Larson broke a window to get inside the home.
