The appointment of Ron Klain as President Obama's so-called Ebola czar was among the many topics covered by Tom Ostrom and Andy Brownell during Tuesday morning's Rochester Today show on KROC-AM.

Klain is a long time Democrat party operative, and Tom says his selection to serve as the administration's point man on Ebola suggests the president is most worried about the political fallout from the federal government's missteps in the initial response to the arrival of the virus in the U.S.  At this point, it appears Ebola is the "October surprise" of the current election cycle, which cannot bode well for the president and his political allies.
