Owatonna Man Saved by Strangers at Rochester Store
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Three strangers came to the rescue of a man who suffered a heart attack at a Rochester store.
The incident happened around 4:00 PM Saturday inside the JC Penny store.
RPD Lt. Gretchen O’Neil says the 56-year-old Owatonna man had no pulse and was not breathing when he was spotted by the three people. They immediately began CPR on the man. O’Neil says they also obtained an AED (automated external defibrillator) and used it to shock the man.
He soon regained consciousness and O’Neil says he was talking when officers arrived. He was taken to St. Marys Hospital for evaluation.
O’Neil says it’s not known if the three Good Samaritans know each other.
