Pace Dairy Foods Is Hiring with a Starting Wage of $19 Per Hour
Pace Dairy Foods has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Southeast Minnesota for the past 8 years — and they're holding on to that status through the economic uncertainty of the coronavirus outbreak.
A division of Kroger Company, a Fortune 500 company, Pace Dairy is considered an "essential business" as a natural and processed cheese packaging facility in the Rochester community. The location provides a steady job and schedule within a family-like atmosphere, which is important to many employees.
Right now, they are hiring team members who will carry out a variety of tasks, according to the job posting, including:
- Clean all equipment properly and timely to ensure safe quality products
- Clean machinery, facility structures such as racking, windows, walls and exterior of plant
- Assist machine operators in gathering production supplies, packaging materials and loading equipment, including dumping boxes and lifting stacks of cardboard
- Assist in hand-packing and hand-stacking product/cases onto pallets
The starting wage is $19 per hour, with a $1 differential for third shift and a 30-cent differential for second shift. Employees can access their wages quickly with weekly checks and direct deposit. Plus, they enjoy eight paid holidays (including their birthdays) and opportunities to advance.
