was spending a semester at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He and his friends were driving back from Minneapolis when their car struck a deer Nov. 13.
He had severe facial fractures and went into cardiac arrest at a Cloquet hospital, causing brain damage.
He has been hospitalized at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
Bajwa's brother, Shahraiz, says the hospital is pressuring him and his mother to agree to having Bajwa flown back to Pakistan.
A hospital spokeswoman says Bajwa can't stay in the U.S. legally after his student visa expires Feb. 28.
