Rochester, MN  KROC AM News) - A heads-up from Olmsted County. A phone scam is making the rounds.

The county has learned residents are being contacted about their property tax payments.

According to the county, they are asked to verify if they pay their taxes through an ACH or automatic withdrawal and for their bank account information.

Olmsted County’s Property Records and Licensing Office says it only contacts residents via written correspondence and will not request bank information via telephone.
