A motorcycle traveling South on Highway 56 in Concord Township Saturday morning was struck by a pickup truck. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the motorcyclist sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

On Saturday morning 67-year-old David Lorentz of Red Wing suffered what the Minnesota State Patrol reported to be serious but non-life threatening injuries after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck that was being driven by 61-year-old James Buck of West Concord.

The crash occurred at 10:23 A.M. on Highway 56 at the intersection of 540th Street in Concord Township. Lorentz at the time of the crash was traveling Southbound on Highway 56 on a 2008 Honda motorcycle when it was struck by the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Buck Westbound on 540th Street.

Lorentz was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Buck was uninjured in the crash. Lorentz at the time of the crash was not wearing a helmet. It is undetermined at this time if alcohol may have played a part in this crash.

Also responding to the scene of the crash was the Dodge County Sheriff's Office and West Concord Fire & Ambulance.
