Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Pine Island woman who was caught in the act of burglarizing a home last summer has been sentenced to 27-months in prison.

24-year-old Barbara Jo Larson was also ordered to pay almost $9000 in restitution to the victims of several break-ins in the Oronoco area. She recently pleaded guilty to felony burglary and theft charges to settle six cases filed in Olmsted County Court after her arrest.

She was arrested after the owners of a home in Oronoco returned and found Larson coming out of a bathroom. They tried to hold her until they could call 911 but she pushed them out of the way, got into her car and drove off. The homeowners were able to get the license plate number and the vehicle was traced to Larson’s home, where she was taken into custody.
