Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man accused of terrorizing family members with a large knife last fall has worked out a plea agreement with Olmsted County prosecutors.

30-year-old Harun Ali Abdulle was scheduled to stand trial this week but instead, he entered guilty pleas to a felony damage to property charge and a misdemeanor count of trespassing. In exchange, another felony damage to property charge, two felony burglary charges, and a felony harassment charge are being dropped.

Abdulle was arrested after a violent incident at his family’s home in Rochester in October. He was accused of destroying a TV and a sofa by swinging the large knife and later slashing a tire on a family member’s vehicle. The criminal complaint also alleged he phoned the apartment and threatened to “cut them up into pieces.” It was alleged he stated he would “finish them off,” while he was speaking on the phone with a police officer.

Abdulle is scheduled to be sentenced on March 18th.
