Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman was sentenced to probation today after entering into a plea agreement to settle accusations that she had threatened a young man with a gun.

44-year-old Carrie Kukuzke admitted to a gross misdemeanor stalking charge in exchange for the dismissal of a second-degree assault count. Kukuzke was arrested last August following an incident in the 1900 block of 8-1/2 Street Southeast. An 18-year-old man alleged she pointed a gun at his head when she confronted him about a Facebook post that shows him standing in front of her car.

Kukuzke told investigators she did not know the teenager but went to ask him to delete the photo from the social media site because she was upset over a visit the previous month by Sheriff's deputies who had come across the Facebook post while looking for a man wanted on an arrest warrant. Kukuzke stated the confrontation escalated into a physical altercation and she got the gun to protect herself and her daughter.

The police report on the incident says she took the officers to the gun, which had been reported stolen.
