Police Catch Man Sought in Minneapolis Amber Alert
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities say a toddler has been found safe and his noncustodial father is in custody after stabbing the boy's mother and taking the child.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued an Amber Alert Tuesday morning, asking for help in locating the father and 2-year-old child. Police say the 26-year-old man stabbed his ex-girlfriend in the leg during a domestic situation about 6 a.m. The woman was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
Officials say the toddler was found about 9 a.m. Authorities initially said a second man was involved and was believed to be armed. There's no immediate word on the second man.
