Possible Storms, Heavy Rain May Be Headed to Southeast Minnesota
La Crosse, WI (KROC AM News) - Southeast Minnesota is facing the risk of severe weather and heavy rain.
The National Weather Service is forecasting periods of showers and thunderstorms for the region, beginning Sunday afternoon and continuing into Monday evening.
Some areas could receive as much as 2 - 4 inches of rain. This could lead to areas of flash flooding.
The NWS also says “A few storms may become severe with damaging winds and large hail as the main threats, perhaps also an isolated tornado.”
There will be a continued threat of storms all week and it will be very warm with high temperatures in the upper 80s through July 4th.
