If you are craving some Potbelly's, I've got a bit of good news and not-so-good news for you.  The good news is that there is still a location open in Rochester, Minnesota.  The not-so-good news is that the downtown location is temporarily closed.

Potbelly's Sandwich Shop Temporarily Closed in Downtown Rochester, Minnesota

I made the mistake the other day of trying to grab a salad while I was at work.  Since Potbelly's is about a block from the Townsquare Media building, it is the perfect choice.  Unfortunately, I was met with a sign on the door with the following note:

Our downtown shop is closed for the time being due to short staffing.  Please visit us at our NW location!

Check out what downtown Rochester, Minnesota looked like years ago!

Our town has changed a lot over the years, including the block where Potbelly's is located in downtown Rochester.  Today there is a big skyway that goes over the road by Potbelly's but that has NOT always been there.  Look through the photos below to see a whole bunch of before and after photos of businesses and places that have gone through incredible change.

Wow! Check out how Rochester has changed throughout the years in these Google photos.

As we are soaring down Hwy 52, it is hard to imagine what life was like in our town before the Target store was built where it is today. Or the house that you live in now, at one point in town, that wasn't there. In fact, Rochester has grown so fast throughout the years, most of our houses weren't even around 50 years ago! Don't believe me? Look through these photos to get a glimpse of what Rochester was like years ago.
