Authorities Seize Pounds of Cannabis During Rochester-Area Traffic Stop
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities seized dozens of pounds of cannabis products during a traffic stop in the Rochester area last week.

That's according to Olmsted County Sheriff’s Captain Tim Parkin, who said Monday morning that deputies and members of the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crimes Enforcement Team conducted the traffic stop to serve a search warrant on Friday.
The man driving the vehicle was the target of the search warrant. Law enforcement stopped the vehicle on Interstate 90 as it was traveling near Stewartville.
Authorities Report Massive Haul of Cannabis Products During I-90 Traffic Stop
Parkin identified the suspect of the search warrant as 33-year-old Gilo Gilo of Rochester.
Authorities discovered 148 pounds of flower marijuana, over 760 grams of cannabis concentrate, over 16 grams of cannabis edibles, and several thousand dollars in cash, upon searching the vehicle, according to the report.
Law enforcement also executed a search warrant at Gilo’s home in the 200 block of 15th Ave. SW in Rochester and found an unspecified amount of additional Cannabis concentrate, cash, and a loaded handgun, Parkin said.
Gilo was arrested on suspicion of first-degree drug sales, first-degree possession and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime.
He is being held in the Olmsted County Jail and is awaiting his first appearance in Olmsted County Court.
