Probation For Armed Rochester Home Invasion
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Another man involved in a violent home invasion in Rochester earlier this year has been sentenced to 10 years probation.
20-year-old Ngor Mabor was sentenced to the 193 days he has already spent in jail and was ordered to pay about $2,100 in restitution. He earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of aiding and abetting burglary involving assault.
Mabor was one of 3 men with guns who barged into a residence at the Eastwood Ridge apartment complex in early February. A 20-year-old woman in the apartment ended up going to the hospital after one of the intruders struck her head with a sharp object.
Rochester police say one of the intruders had arranged to purchase some marijuana from a 19-year-old man living in the apartment. He recognized 19-year-old Nelson Soro as one of the intruders, which led to the arrests of the 3 suspects several hours later. Soro was previously sentenced and also received probation for his involvement in the incident.
