Minneapolis (KROC AM News) - The security plan has been in the works for months and it will get its first test Monday.
The jury selection process is scheduled to begin Monday in the trial of former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin, accused of killing George Floyd.
He is facing murder and manslaughter charges in the 2020 deadly incident.
A security plan to maintain peace and order during the trial was put together by local police, the State Patrol and National Guard.
Protesters marched through downtown Minneapolis Sunday and another large crowd formed Monday morning before proceedings began.
