Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A crowd estimated at close to 1000 people gathered in downtown Rochester Sunday for an event billed as, “Stand with Our Immigrant, Refugee and Muslim Neighbors.”

Organized by a group called United Now Rochester, the event was promoted as an opportunity to welcome and show support for Muslim people, along with immigrants and refugees living in the Rochester area.

It was among hundreds of similar events organized throughout the nation after President Trump issued an executive order that prohibits any Syrian immigrants from entering the U.S. suspends all refugee admissions for 120 days and prohibits people from seven predominantly Muslim nations in the Middle East from coming to the U.S. for the next 90 days.
