RCTC Students Want McClellon Out – Now
Rochester, MN (Learfield Wire Services) - Rochester Community and Technical College students sent a letter to Minnesota State Colleges and Universities chancellor Steven Rosenstone Monday calling for the immediate removal of college president Leslie McClellon.
The letter, which was signed by RCTC student president Mike Wenzel, called McClellon's leadership at the school “a force of destruction." Concerns outlined in the letter include the firing of administrators without cause, failure to follow student involvement policies and her lack of professionalism .
After Wenzel signed off on a similar letter sent to Rosenstone last week on behalf of the Minnesota State and College Students Association, he said students and faculty have tried to bring up concerns to McClellon for more than a year, but were unable to make any progress.
