Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -Rochester property owners may be in for a double break on their taxes.

The Rochester City Council will review a recommendation at its Monday meeting that proposes a 2021 budget that includes a freeze of the property tax levy. In other words, no change from the 2020 levy.

The Olmsted County Board meets Tuesday and is being asked to follow suit.

County Administration is recommending no change in the property levy from its current figure. There is a recommended slight increase (.185% of estimated market value) in the Housing and Redevelopment Authority levy, which is nearly $300,000 above the 2020 figure.
