Red Wing Man Injured When Car Smashes Into Telephone Pole

Vasa, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Red Wing man was transported to Rochester for treatment following a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.
The State Patrol says 74-year-old Roger Thomas was driving a car that went off the road, struck a culvert, rolled, and then smashed into a telephone pole. The crash was reported around 1:25 PM on Highway 19 near the town of Vasa about 6 miles southwest of Red Wing.
The official crash report indicates the road surface was dry at the time. Thomas was brought by ambulance to St. Marys Hospital with what were described by the State Patrol as non-life-threatening injuries.
