Region Faces High Risk of Severe Weather
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service is predicting a stormy night in southeastern Minnesota.
Severe storms developed in the mid-afternoon in western Minnesota, prompting a tornado warning in Swift County and severe thunderstorm warnings in other areas. The warm and muggy air is expected to fuel similar storms in the Rochester area tonight, with forecasters currently saying the best chances of severe storms will occur between 7 and 10 pm. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for southeastern Minnesota through 11 pm.
