Registered Sex Offender Faces New Sex Assault Charges
Mantorville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Conditional bail has been set at $100,000 for a Dodge Center man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile boy.
The criminal complaint charging 34-year-old Michael Adam Davis with first and second-degree criminal sexual conduct alleges he met the victim while Davis was serving as a young men's leader at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kasson. Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose notes the alleged incident did not occur at the church or during a church function.
Sheriff Roses says, at this time, only one juvenile has come forward to report instances of alleged sexual contact by Davis, who is a lifetime registered sex offender due to a conviction involving a minor in Utah.
