Remember When Minnesota Was Featured in an Episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’?
My husband and I binge-watched all of 'How I Met Your Mother' years ago. We didn't start watching until after the show had come to an end. What about you, are you a 'How I Met Your Mother' fan?
It's one of those shows that's so iconic. I'd put it up there with The Office, Parks and Rec, Friends, etc.
However, I didn't remember until today that Minnesota was heavily featured on that show!

'How I Met Your Mother' Episode Features Minnesota
If you're familiar with the show, you know that Robin is from Canada. Well, in Season 4, Episode 11, the episode called 'Little Minnesota', Marshall decides to try and help Robin because she's feeling homesick. So what does he do? He takes her to a bar for Minnesotans because it's close to Canada, and Robin pretends to be from Minnesota.
I mean, the further north you get, the line between Canada and Minnesota really starts to blur, particularly when it comes to the accent.

Inside the bar, which is called 'Walleye Saloon', there are a lot of Vikings jerseys and flannel, Vikings decor everywhere, plenty of fishing references, and, of course, references to the 1999 NFC Championship game.
The reason I was randomly reminded of this 'How I Met Your Mother' episode is because of a survey I saw of the most popular TV shows that people watch over the holidays.
