Edina, MN (KROC-AM News) - The City of Edina today announced a $5000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the gunman who shot a doctor in the head Monday night.

The shooting was reported just before 9 PM on the second level of a parking ramp at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. Reports indicate the 45-year-old physician was being carjacked when the robber fired his gun and the bullet grazed the victim's head. He was taken into the hospital for treatment and then released.

A news release says the suspect fled the scene. He was described as an Asian man in his 30s with shaved hair and attached to on the right side of his neck. The reward is being offered by the Edina Crime Prevention Fund.
